This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Ad-Hoc Networks and Wireless, ADHOC-NOW 2006, held in Ottawa, Canada in August 2006. The 25 revised full papers and 10 revised short papers presented together with the abstracts of 2 invited talks were carefully reviewed and selected from over 170 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on routing in sensor networks, Routing in MANET, short papers on routing, security, wireless MAC, short papers on security, QoS and TCP, and upper layer issues.
